Our team has expertise in litigation together with regulatory issues in areas such as energy, health, telecommunications and transport.

With regard to litigation we represent clients in cases brought before the national courts and competition authorities. As part of our wide ranging service we handle EU and national competition law, regulated markets and unfair commercial practices. In addition, the Firm assists clients in civil claims for damages for competition law infringements.

More specifically, we advise on vertical agreements on distribution and supply of goods and services, state aid and subsidies, issues arising from markets under regulation across a wide range of industries, commercial disputes, public procurement and competitive tendering, sector regulation and abuse of dominance and monopolization.

Sectors recently opened to Competition, such as electricity, energy and telecommunications, are regulated by sector specific regulations which trigger new and diverse issues such as regulating pricing practices and obligations of access to infrastructure. The Firm acts on behalf of clients active on such deregulated markets providing both advice and representation before the regulatory authorities and the Courts.

The Firm has acted in landmark abuse of dominance cases in the energy sector and has represented its large industrial clients in alleged illegal state aid granted by the Greek state.
