Our Firm participated in the business mission to India alongside with other esteemed stakeholders that included meetings and discussions with executives and entrepreneurs from Greece and India to explore the business opportunities and the great potential in the India-Greek economic cooperation. The participation of our Firm in the mission, from February 19 to 24, 2024, along with the government delegation highlighted the aim to foster collaborations in various sectors of the economy, industry, and commerce.
The five-day visit to India – the world’s most populous nation and fastest growing major economy – comes as part of an ever deepening commercial and strategic relationship with Greece. Over the past three years, bilateral trade between Greece and India has doubled to more than €1 billion per year.
Both nations are set to leverage their technological strengths; India, being a powerhouse for technological development and Greece, with its emerging dynamic tech sector, are looking to foster economic growth. Key areas of focus include artificial intelligence, energy and renewables, ICT, tourism and more.
The visit coincided with the 2nd India Europe Business & Sustainability Conclave. The main objective of the event was to highlight the strategic role of India-Europe cooperation in the constantly evolving geopolitical landscape, strengthen bilateral cooperation between Indian and European businesses, and showcase economic opportunities and challenges, providing a platform for businesses to explore synergies and collaborations.
The program included, among other things, a roundtable discussion on Greece and business-to-business (B2B) meetings co-organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry and FICCI.
Key Investment Opportunities discussed included:
- Smart Cities
- Data Centers
- Call Centers/Service Centers
