The Firm secured a victory before the Supreme Court for a client of the insurance industry against Greek credit and a financial institution, regarding tort liability claims deriving from banking and securities transactions and obtained a court order for the seizure of the former’s property in Greece. The frame of the dispute was a genuine interpretation of the provisions of the Directive 2001/24/ΕC on the reorganization and winding up of credit institutions. Following the case’s successful outcome, the client has collected the amounts awarded by the Greek credit institution.
