We recently offered advice to one of our major corporate clients on the potential acquisition of a real estate property owned by a well-known Greek construction company.
The property owner launched a tender process under Law 4307/2014 for overburdened debtors. This process (pre-insolvency proceedings) intends to facilitate the sale of the debtor’s assets.
The relevant property situated in Athens, Greece was approx. 17.000 m2 and of a total estimated value of approx. € 28 million.
Our team was responsible throughout the due diligence check and supported the client in preparing the tender documentation, as well as on the submission of the bid.
